Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with our homeschool group and took along four of my nieces and nephews.  We love this pumpkin patch, we could stay for hours and never get bored.  We arrived about 12pm, after stopping for lunch and ice cream on the way.  We were there for four hours, and would have stayed longer if we didn't have somewhere to be that evening.  We had so much fun!!

There is so much to do!!  Of course the wagon ride around the farm and the pumpkin picking. Then we visit Tiny Town, which is a small village with about 8 buildings including a school, church, mansion, jailhouse, etc.  New this year to Tiny Town was a tire climbing wall, a huge hay stack to climb, and a rolling tunnel.  Then they have the train ride, the rope swings, tire swings, big slide, duck races, inflated trampoline, tire mountain, fake cows to milk, tunnel swing, corn box, etc, etc, etc! They also had a new mining for gems area this year but we did not do that, it costs extra.

As you can see we had tons of fun!

Camping

The kids and I had a GREAT time camping this weekend. Keith was working so I went solo with the kids. We were suppose to be camping with AHG this weekend but that got postponed.  We have been planning for months so I couldn't let down the kids. So we went anyway!

I had taken Friday off so we headed out after lunch. We set up camp and the kids rode their scooters. We found a geocache on a trail. We played at the park. Jacob and I almost ran out of matches trying to get the fire going for dinner.  I had prepared hamburger patties but 2 out of 4 of them crumbled, so we had tacos and hamburgers for dinner.

For breakfast Saturday I had prepared some egg and cheese burritos. They were decent. The kids had pop tarts and brownie muffins.

For lunch we had sandwiches and lunchables- I forgot the hotdogs. The kids ride scooters all day, we found another geocache and a treasure box. A treasure box is a special geocache that requires a little bit of "orienteering". Which is great because we are working on a badge for AHG with orienteering. I've never heard of it before but it was a lot of fun! We also visited both playgrounds again and gathered more firewood.

We stayed busy most of the weekend but I do wish I had brought the kayaks.   We will have to bring them next time.

We had a great time and look forward to our next trip!!

School, crafts, clean sweep!

Part of our math today was learning about cups, pints and quarts.  We used a few visual aids to help us learn.

After JoAnna made her clay bowl for AHG, I made an ornament. Every year I buy an ornament with for Hope, our baby girl that we lost at 16 weeks due to a miscarriage. So I decided to make one with clay and used stamps to decorate it. It turned out cute.

Also last night I went on a cleaning spree. After scrubbing the kitchen and spending about ten minutes cleaning the art room (it'll take me at least a week to clean and organize the art room!!) I spent a few minutes going thru my bathroom cabinet. I don't know why I have so much lotion, facial products and BODY SPRAY!  I don't even use body spray and rarely use perfume.  But I had EIGHT bottles of body spray/perfume. This doesn't even include the perfume on my vanity that I actually use from time to time. LOL. maybe I can sell them at the garage sell??  Who knows.

Mosaic Fun

We had s field trip last week to the Mossic Shop!!  I took the younger two and they had so much fun!!  The children all seemed to really enjoy themselves so us mom's decided we want to have a mom's night at the Missic Shop!!

Their work should be done by the end of this week. They will be so excited!!

JoAnna did a puppy dog and Jace did a dragon.

Lunch with Batman

My kids LOVE McAlister's. They would eat it three times a day everyday if I'd let them. Today we went for lunch, our second visit for the week. My little man wore his Batman pjs. He was adorable, although his 10 year old brother found it totally embarrassing.
